The project will be bringing together students, faculty, and staff to get upskilled on the issue of AI, and then engage in deliberation process about utilizing the benefits of AI in academia, staying mindful of its threat to academic integrity.
This project aims to create publicly sourced recommendations for the ethical use of AI software and tools at universities through participatory democracy methods.
By doing this, we will achieve the following objectives:
- – Build trust among students, faculty, and staff by putting them on an equal footing and giving them the option to deliberate openly and freely.
- – Empower students to take the lead and run the participatory process.
- – Broaden the perspectives on the ethical use of AI at across partner universities by developing as set of recommendations.

Our initiative aims to foster dialogue among EHU students, faculty, and staff members regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications within an academic environment.
We welcome participants from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their prior knowledge or experience with AI-related topics. To ensure participation on an equally informed level, the participants are strongly encouraged to attend all the project sessions and actively engage with additional self-study materials.
We want to ensure that the participants joining the project are representatives of all EHU academic community.
